An experience of a lifetime
May 18, 2024. The Force are 2-1 in a best-of-5 series against Dubuque. And Saturday night, they won it all.
Getting to be a team's photographer when they win a championship is a feeling I will absolutely never forget. In this moment more than any other, this is when a season of building relationships truly pays off.

Relationship building
As a team photographer, there is no better feeling than seeing the hard work your team has put in all season long be rewarded with a milestone like winning the championship. And after being along for the journey all season, you are able to get more intimate photos of that emotional moment because the team knows your caliber of work and that they can trust you. In sports, action is exciting, but it's emotion that separates the good from the great. Here are some of my favorite examples of that from winning the Clark Cup this year:

Local media, the league, and beyond
I am also so fortunate to have built relationships within the USHL over the course of the season, as well as with those in Fargo's local media. Being able to see my photos used in so many publications over the course of the playoffs was especially exciting. Those included FloHockey, USAHockey, Inforum, and drumroll please... the NHL! With several Fargo Force players being NHL prospects, there was an article released on NHL.com highlighting our goaltender and it included my team photo from the celebration.
More than anything, I am so lucky for all of the opportunities I've been given as the Force's photographer, and I can't wait to see what all comes my way next year.
